GasSafeNow takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Who we are
GasSafeNow is a marketplace connecting customers and Gas Safe registered engineers. Data controller: GasSafeNow Ltd (UK). Contact: privacy@gassafenow.co.uk
What we collect
- Name and contact details (Telegram ID, email, phone)
- Booking details (service type, address for the visit)
- Payment data via Stripe (we never see your card number)
- Engineer-specific: Gas Safe number, bank details (held by Stripe Connect)
- Photos and messages exchanged during a job
- Approximate location when actively booking
Why we collect it
- To fulfil bookings — match you with a nearby Engineer
- To process payments and payouts
- To verify Gas Safe registration of Engineers
- To investigate disputes and improve service quality
- Legal obligation (e.g. tax, dispute records)
Who we share it with
- The Engineer assigned to your job (name, address, phone for the visit)
- Stripe for payment processing (their privacy policy applies)
- Gas Safe Register for engineer verification (read-only)
- Authorities if required by law
We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records: 6 years (UK tax requirement). Account data: until you delete your account, plus 30 days. Photos of completed work: 12 months for dispute purposes.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Rectification — correct any wrong information
- Erasure — delete your account and data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — export your data in JSON format
- Object — opt out of non-essential processing

Cookies
This website uses no tracking cookies. The Telegram bot uses your Telegram ID as a session identifier — that is necessary for the service to work.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Database access is restricted. Payment data is handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1).
